Perfectly smooth from the airport to our hotel. Not so good though for our return to the hotel on departure. Hotel reception (Aeolos... Beach Resort, Perama) advised us to wait at the bus stop across from the hotel entrance and the bus would pick us up from there. This is a stop also used by public transport on the island and we were waiting there well before our scheduled pick up time. While waiting, 2 public transport buses heading for Benitses arrived first and took a long time getting all their passengers on. The driver of the bus picking us up (which had Suntours on the front not Lord Travel as we were looking for) must have got fed up waiting for the public transport buses to move and pulled out from behind them and set off for his next stop. We did try to wave him down but he just waved a finger at us and drove off without us. Fortunately, the driver of another airport transfer bus which appeared at the same time (not Lord Travel) was kind enough to let us on his bus so we got the the airport OK. To recognise his kind gesture we gave him 10 euros (the smallest denomination of euros we had on us). That meant that as well as paying for return transfers to be provided by Lord Travel we were also 10 euros out of pocket. More
